Lucky dice
The lucky dice are a new addition to our Andreas Daub collection. The small dice pendants are decorated with the four lucky symbols horseshoe, cloverleaf, heart and elephant.
The four-leaf clover
The four-leaf clover is probably one of the best-known lucky symbols. Only one clover leaf in 1,000 is four-leafed. Each leaf of a four-leaf clover has a special meaning. The first leaf stands for hope, the second for faith, the third for love and the fourth for luck.
The horseshoe
The horseshoe is also often associated with luck. Early nomadic peoples believed that the horseshoe channelled the flow of prosperity and good fortune through its shape. Other stories tell that the horseshoe served as protection against evil spirits. Many people still hang horseshoes on their doors today to attract good luck and prosperity. There is also the belief that the horseshoe must always be hung with the opening facing upwards, otherwise the luck will fall out.
The elephant
In Hinduism and Chinese mythology, the elephant symbolises good luck. In Hinduism, the elephant plays a very special role. It stands for positive forces, a firm foundation, a long life, wealth, good co-operation and success. And if the elephant’s trunk is pointing upwards, it also brings good luck, as luck cannot run out.
In Chinese mythology, the elephant symbolises an animal with an exceptionally high level of morality. It is also a symbol of wisdom, luck and loyalty. With its strength, it helps to overcome or circumvent obstacles.
Heart
The heart stands for love, which in turn also symbolises happiness. In emojis, the yellow heart symbolises happiness.
